 Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team

Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team (HMVRT) is solely a volunteer search and rescue organisation based in Marsden, near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

The team has over 40 members who are on-call to assist those in difficulty 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year, no matter the weather – plus a similar number who are non-qualified trainees, helpers and support members.

On 7th June 2018, seven of the ABS team walked 25 miles of the Pennine Way from Holme Moss (Kirklees) to Stoodley Pike (Calderdale). The ABS team raised £2,948.75 to help HVMRT purchase high quality waterproof jackets for all 40 members of the call-out group.
