At the beginning of 2015 we continued our Eliya support with a donation of £8,000 for the installation of Solar Panels. This has helped the home to make savings of over 90% on their energy bills, as well as feed the Sri Lankan ‘grid’ with clean energy.

Following installation, a team of four ABS staff members spent eight days in Tangalle taking part in daytime activities including; vegetable cultivation (Eliya produces most of its own veg), water pipe repairs, IT literacy training, general maintenance and a cricket match with the kids.
