30th Anniversary Charity Fund
We’re celebrating our 30th birthday this year and we can’t find a better way to celebrate than by supporting our local community.
The ABS Foundation and our charity partner, Community Foundation for Calderdale, will be supporting 12 different charities who deliver vital services in Calderdale. Every month, between May 2019 and April 2020 the ABS 19/20 Fund will make an award to one fantastic local charity.
We’re over-the-moon at the thought of collaborating with even more hard-working charities, building better community partnerships and helping organisations find a better way with essential funding so check out the simple application process below and get applying!
And there’s more. Alongside the ABS Foundation funding our dedicated team will be getting stuck in by volunteering their time and offering expertise in areas such as marketing, accounting and administration. It’s a better way to celebrate our big day and a cool way to say thank you.
About the Fund
Each of the 12 successful charity applicants will receive £950.00 towards a specific project then, at the beginning of May 2020, one of the successful 12 charities will be chosen to receive an additional £10,000 worth of funding!
Applications are now OPEN and will close on 29th March 2020.
If your charity receives an award from the ABS 19/20 Fund you will not be eligible to apply for another award from the same Fund however, you can apply for other CFFC funding.

A panel made up of ABS and CFFC employees will make the final decisions of the successful organisations on a monthly basis.
The decision will be based on:
- The quality of the application
- Expression of the need
- Where we see the funding will have the greatest impact.
Ideally, the eligible organisations will not have paid staff and will meet CFFC eligibility criteria. To determine the impact, the current CFFC guidance and scoring system will be used.
