Savile Park Primary School

Overview of Savile Park Primary School
Savile Park Primary School have two sites based in Halifax, West Yorkshire with over 60 staff and 330 pupils. They aim to encourage the children’s gifts, abilities and experiences which will help them achieve their full potential.
The Challenge
The school were spending approximately £17,000 a year on two photocopiers across both sites with no managed print solution in place. This resulted in no detailed measurements on spend or accountability for over-usage. The school was experiencing spiralling print costs and large volumes of paper wastage. The challenge was to look at their overall print structure and make recommendations to help the school find a better way.
The Solution
Using our education expertise in managed print, we recommended the installation of a fully managed print solution resulting in reduced costs and control on their large print volumes. ABS installed two innovative Ricoh print devices with the latest security software which tracks and controls usage of all staff and pupils. This solution also enables staff to use fobs to access their print jobs. This has significantly reduced their print expenditure and increased security of confidential printing. Savile Park has saved more than £3,000 a year on their print costs and significantly reduced their printing, copying and paper usage.
